The China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is the nation’s premier innovation and entrepreneurship event, jointly guided by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the Cyberspace Administration of China and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and supported by the Communist Youth League of China, the China Zhi Gong Party, the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and China Merchants Bank. With the active cooperation of local governments, science and technology management departments and national high-tech zones, and the widespread participation of various sectors of society—including banks, venture capital firms and the media—the competition has now been successfully held for five consecutive years.
Over the past five years, the competition has received entries from more than 93,000 enterprises and teams. These participants have come from every province, autonomous region, municipality and city across the country. More than 3,000 experts from over 1,000 start-up support organisations have participated in the judging process and various events associated with the competition. The competition has helped participating enterprises secure venture capital investments exceeding 20 billion yuan and obtain loan commitments totalling 30 billion yuan. Hundreds of start-up support organisations have been involved in the competition, providing a range of services to enterprises and teams.
SGR fought its way through the competition, emerging victorious from the Shanghai regional round to reach the finals held in Shenzhen, where it ultimately achieved a high score of 90.89 and was awarded the ‘Outstanding Enterprise Award’ in the Start-up Category!
