SGR Makes Its Debut at Sensor China 2018 in Shanghai
From 10 to 12 September, Shanghai SGR, as one of the representative companies at the Jiading Park stand, was invited to exhibit at the 2018 China National Sensor Technology and Application Expo. Located in Jiading, Shanghai Automotive City, SGR is dedicated to developing domestically produced millimetre-wave radar chips to support the ADAS industry.
During the three-day exhibition, SGR showcased two 24GHz radar chips—one featuring a single transmitter and a single receiver, and another with a single transmitter and two receivers—as well as radar modules developed based on these three chips for Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and for smart home/Internet of Things (IoT) applications. In addition to the traditional ADAS sector, Sijie’s millimetre-wave radar chips are also making a significant impact in the smart home and IoT sectors. Millimetre-wave radar is characterised by its all-weather performance, resistance to interference and high detection sensitivity, making it particularly well-suited to detection applications in the smart home and IoT sectors; this attracted a large number of trade visitors to the exhibition. As awareness of millimetre-wave radar grows, an increasing number of sectors will adopt radar modules as solutions. Leveraging its robust technical expertise, Sijie provides comprehensive solutions ranging from chips to modules, helping clients shorten development cycles and enhance product competitiveness. The stand was constantly busy with visitors seeking advice and poring over product brochures, whilst the live product demonstrations proved extremely popular.
At 15:00 on 10 September, SGR’s Vice President of R&D, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, and a Senior Applications Engineer each delivered specialised presentations on millimetre-wave radar technology and its applications, and answered questions from the audience on the spot.
With the growing adoption of millimetre-wave radar in the smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) sectors, SGR is set to contribute to the development of China’s IoT and smart technology industries.
